Using Shutterstock to search for ambiguous words can open a path to all sorts of interesting concepts. Take the work “break.” On its own, it contains a small handful of disparate meanings, and this is exemplified if you search break under the “most popular” setting for results. At the top of the list, you’ll see a few business/corporate-type shots, some grungy brick walls, and some athletic (break) dancers.
Combine “break” with some select other words, and all of a sudden, a story emerges. The possibilities for interpretation multiply.
